Oak Flavoring Polypropylene Tube For Demijohns and Barrels

Description

This Oak Flavoring Tube is manufactured to be used with barrels, demijohns, and other wine storage vessels that have at least a 2” opening and the belly of the barrel is at least 26” deep.

They are manufactured from polypropylene and have a silicone stopper on each end, along with a tag to record the oak material contained within. This polypropylene model can be shortened using sharp scissors.

• Sizes to fit in 10-gallon (37.9 liters) and greater demijohn. (Product measures: 1 ½ inches in diameter X 22 inches in length plus end caps.)
• Sizes to fit in 59-gallon (223.3 Liters) barrels (Product measures: 1 ½ inches in diameter X 22 inches in length plus end caps)
• Sizes to fit in 60-gallon (227 liters) barrels (Product measures: 1 ½ inches in diameter X 22 inches in length plus end caps)

Some wine storage vessels can house 2 or more Oak Flavoring Tubes at the same time. This will speed up the Oak Infusion process significantly. However, this takes more attention to the wine so that over oaking doesn’t occur.
